The new 250cc segment is expecting the arrival of the Honda CBR250R this April and the Mahindra Mojo 300. Rumours are telling that Yamaha are also keen to introduce a bike in this segment but nothing confirmed as of now. The two heavyweights in the segment are undoubtedly the Ninja and the CBR so let’s see as to who has better performance, is value for money and easy to maintain.

The most expected one will be the introduction of 600cc bikes in the Indian market for the first time. We feel that a 600cc bike is much more practical and usable in our roads than the litre class bikes. Ninja 650R,Yamaha R6 and CBR600RR will be a good bet this year.

I am a big fan of touring in bikes because I find it as a stress reliever and at the same time gives me some time to connect with Mother Nature. The whole idea behind the touring is the journey itself, the way it takes you to different places, the people you meet, the fun you have riding in groups, the chit chat during the breaks, it all sums up to a great experience and I personally think man made bikes only for the sole reason of touring from place to place.

3HP's Wishlist for the year 2011

Here are the ten things that we wish to happen in the next calendar year... Fingers crossed.

1. We expect the KTMs and big Ninjas to hit our shores by mid 2011with the price of the 650cc ninja around 5 lac.


2. Tvs Apache RTR 180 with ABS around 80k.


3. A good tourer that can effortlessly munch miles without any difficulty. Preferably a liquid cooled around 300cc, 2 cylinder motor that can put out 25-30 bhp less than 2 lac.
