The bike sports a 300cc mill with DOHC technology with 4 valves. With liquid cooled engine, the bike is sure to become a turning point in the history of the Indian Bike scenario. The 4 valves will increase the efficiency of combustion; thereby we do not expect a very drastic decrease in the mileage department as well.
The age of carburettors is fast coming to an end and the Mojo has the Ducatia Energia Electronic Fuel Injection system that meters the flow of fuel to the engine. The Fuel Injection system is a tried and tested system that should work wonders for the bike, imported straight from the Italian Ducati’s.
The innovations doesn’t stop here, the bike has inverted shock absorbers which will greatly improve the stability and handling. The rear is taken care by the gas charged mono suspension. The bikes suspension will be top notch and perfect for the road conditions prevailing in India.
Mahindra has taken the inspiration from Mother Nature by infusing a tear drop design to aid in the aerodynamic abilities of the bike. The design should enable the Mojo to cut through winds at speeds excess of 100km/hr with relative ease even though it is a naked bike and lacks a fairing.
Twin headlamps that are retro looking add attitude and muscle to the bike. The bike also sports a twin exhaust system which adds more muscle and aggressive look to the bike.
The rear tyres are a whopping 150mm wide ,widest of any Indian motorcycles. They are also tubeless meaning they last longer and gives good stability at high speeds.
Now this feature we all love the most, mirror mounted indicators. They provide good visibility and look great.
Mojo sports a massive 300mm petal disc brakes. The RTR brought us the petal design and Mojo has even bettered it. The petal design has its own merits such as, the heat is dissipated from the disc much quicker because of the thermally stable design.
The Mojo has a superb set up suspension system along with a very good brake system which should mean that the Mojo will be able to handle the Indian road condition with ease. We expect the bike to be priced around 2 lacs which would make it a sweet deal.
