The second Japanese 250cc bike to enter our market is the new CBR250R around the mid 2011.
The CBR250R will sport a 249.4 cc, 4 stroke, DOHC, 4valve water cooled engine. It sports a full fairing similar to that of the VFR1200F. The bike will produce a peak power of 26.5bhp and 23 Newton meter of torque at 7000rpm. The gearbox will be a constant mesh 6 speed return and the fuel injection is taken care by the PGM FI(Programmed Fuel Injection system). The C-ABS system will be employed in the Honda CBR250R and is sure to do wonders in the braking system of the bike. CBR250R does have the potential to become a good tourer as well as the engine will be liquid cooled and has a tank capacity of 13 liters with an expected fuel economy of 25kmpl. Now here comes the sweetest deal, the CBR250R is expected to cost around 1.7lac. With aggressive pricing like this Honda is sure to sell the bikes in large numbers. We are desperately waiting!
