Suzuki and TVS Motors Register 78% and 42% Growth Respectively

Suzuki has shown a staggering 78% growth in December2010 compared to December 2009. The steep growth is due to the good sale of their scooter Access and bike GS 150R. In the month of December Suzuki has sold 25,837 two wheelers and the numbers suggest that there is a growth of 2% compared to the previous months sale. Suzuki’s portfolio in India includes Access, GS 150R, Slingshot, GSX-1000R, Bandit1250, Hayabusa1300, Intruder 1800R.

Meanwhile Chennai based TVS motorcycles have recorded a healthy 42% growth in December2010 compared to 2009. The company has sold 171,790 units in December 2010 compared to the 120,913 in December 2009. TVS portfolio includes the Apache RTR160 and 180, Flame, Jive, Star City, Streak, Wego, Pep and Teenz.

These figures just go on to show that we have an ever increasing two wheeler market in India. With the tie up between Hero Group and Honda ending, other players in the market have to cash in to take advantage of the situation.
