Revamped Yamaha R15 To Arrive In January

Probably the most awaited bike in the 150 cc segment since its announcement, the new Yamaha R15 will arrive on the Indian shores on January 25, 2011. Known for its performance, lets just hope it gives us more on the double.

This picture clicked by Vaibhav Saigal appeared on Orkut and it went viral.

As you can see from the image above, the noticeable changes include the silencer, alloys, LED tail light, broader rear tires, wheel hugger and not to mention the raised rear position.

Some of the other speculations include higher torque than the already existing model, more power and summing up, a higher price.

UPDATE: There are speculations about the internet that these pictures are of the R125 and not the R15. Some even claim it to have been modified unofficially. While it may be true, lets wait for Yamaha's press announcement. Stay tuned.

  1. [...] Now comes the bad news, Yamaha is surely to increase the price of the R15 by atleast few thousands so the 150cc just got costlier. With CBR250R all set to launch soon around 1.5lac, it remains to be seen as to how many people are willing to shell 1.1 lac for the R15. To read our previous post on the new R15 click here [...]
