India Yamaha Motors are considering launching a scooter by the end of the 2011 and the R&D for the new scoot has already begun. The scooter in all probability will have a 125cc mill that with enough power to make the premium 125cc in the market a good run for their money.
The fuel efficiency, practicality and affordability will be high on the list when the project undergoes. The scooter segment has shown tremendous sales and is the most sought after next to the 150cc’s. Yamaha have done their homework in assessing the two wheeler market in India and now let’s hope that it would go on to start a completely new segment something like “performance scooters”. Watch out for this space for any update on the new Yammie scoot.
