Hero MotoCorp To Phase Out Three Models

Hero MotoCorp have announced that they would be phasing out three models from their current product line up- Impulse, Maestro and the Ignitor. The reason for this has been attributed to need and the desire to build its own R&D which has been initiated with an European design and technology provider. The current crop of motorcycles from the Hero MotoCorp stable run on the platform and assistance from its erstwhile partner Honda Motor Co.

Hero is setting up its R&D factory near Jaipur with a capital of Rs 400 crores and already found partners to provide technological support for its new found initiative, though no names have been announced. In February, the company announced partnership with the Erik Buell Racing and signed a research deal with the Austrian Engine manufacturer, AVL.
