After the recent announcement about India being part of the 2013 World Superbike Championship calender, the officials at Infront Motorsports (owners of FIM WSBK) and Jaypee Sports International Ltd. have signed a four year contract for the championship to be conducted at the Buddh International Circuit. The scheduled date is to be on March 13, 2013 and will remain so till 2016.
The WSBK championship is to be the first international racing championship to enter the Indian shores. Our fans have already got a taste of the F1 races last year and couldn't have asked for anything better. And for all motorcycle enthusiasts like me, its a dream come true.
MotoGP veterans Max Biaggi, Carlos Checa and Marco Melandri will all be there! Not to mention Ben Spies if the rumors about him moving to BMW next year are to be true. And with Mahendra Singh Dhoni having his own team at the World Supersports category, its all going to be real exciting. So get your autograph books ready guys and start saving to get the sweetest spot at the track!
