Mahindra Racing To Partner With Suter For 2013 Moto3 Season

Mahindra Racing are all set to partner with Suter racing technology AG for their 2013 Moto3 season. Mahindra made an impressive debut two years ago with a two-stroke 125cc category. But ever since the category shifted to a 250cc four stroke, it has been struggling.

Suter is one of the pioneers in chassis and engine developments. They have a strong presence in the Moto3, Moto2 and the MotoGP categories (CRT) of the MotoGP World Championship.

Mahindra Racing's Mr.S.P.Shukla said in a statement at the on-going Brno GP in Czech Republic,

“We have said this before and we reiterate that Mahindra is committed to succeeding in MotoGP. We conducted a 360 degree review of the Mahindra Racing operations to evaluate and conclude on strategic initiatives needed for future. We have been impressed by Suter Racing Technology - its track record, facilities and expertise and its Moto3 bike design. We were also impressed that Suter shares many of Mahindra’s attributes and values and is excited about this partnership”

Mahindra Racing will continue its developments on the bike for the year and will develop a chassis and an engine with Suter for the 2013 season.

Mahindra Racing's original riders Danny Webb and Marcel Schrotter will not be racing this weekend at Brno. While the former has suffered with wrist injuries and will be replaced by Miroslav Popov, the latter has joined the Moto2 category and had left Mahindra Racing after Sachsenring.
